The black Jayson (s.Johnson) is a top-talented dressage horse with a superb temperament. Jayson is a great promise for the future. Not entirely unsurprising if you know that his sire, the preferent Johnson, successfully competed at International Grand Prix-level with Hans Peter Minderhoud and that the combination was a fixed asset on the Dutch Team. At the EC in Aachen in 2015 they won team gold and an individual bronze medal in the Grand Prix Special. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Johnson achieved an individual 9thplace.
Jayson’s dam, Zamora B, has already produced 2 approved sons as well as an Elite and Ster daughter. Zamora’s oldest offspring Esperanto successfully moved up to Grand Prix in 2023 after winning the USDF Region 1 Finals at Intermediate 1 in 2021.
Zamora’s sire is the revered stallion, Negro. An impressive FEI competitor himself, he has an incredible record for siring Grand Prix horses, including Olympic and World Cup Champion Valegro and 2-time World Young Horse Champion Kjento.
Jayson convincingly won his NRPS Stallion Performance Test and went on to complete the KWPN Short-Term Performance Test earning multiple scores of 8 or above and 9’s for rideability and attitude. Jayson placed 6th in the PAVO Cup Finals in 2018 and 11th in 2019, and was an Alternate for the WBFSH Young Horse Championships. In 2024 he made his CDI small tour debut with Charlotte Fry. His early foals have impressed in both Holland and the US with their modern type and strong movement. Breeders looking to add size, improve suppleness, strength and carriage in movement; as well as rideability should make Jayson a top consideration.
KWPN Inspection report
Jayson is an honest, reliable, rider-focused stallion who shows much willingness to work and has an excellent temperament. The stallion is easy to work with. The walk is clear-cut, has good scope and makes good use of the body. In trot Jayson moves with good leg action. The trot has good scope, good self-carriage and a hind leg that comes under well. The canter is very powerful, uphill, balanced and has good scope. Jayson moves with good elasticity, good self-carriage and good balance. As a dressage horse Jayson is talented to very talented and gives his rider a good feeling.
Dam: Nemo
Nemo, is an intelligent, brave and talented mare. Very good walk, trot with good swing and a canter powerful, active and uphill. She received very good marks and comments by the judge at her Westfalen's approbation.
Rhythm & Blues was granted Star status at his Dutch keuring in Holland and completed his stallion performance testing in Prussendorf in Germany with excellent scores. He received 9's for Character, Ability to Work and Coss Country Jumping and an 8.33 for Free Jumping. R&B has excellent rideability and trainability. He is a talented, skillful and scopey jumper with three good gaits and a powerful hind for dressage.
