Movement dynamics, charisma and riding qualities
Wolkentanz II, a sire who meets the highest standards in terms of model, movement dynamics, charisma and riding qualities. This is confirmed by his outstanding stallion performance test, which he finished as reserve winner with 133 points. He was the superior winner in the dressage sub-index with 143 points and twice achieved the dream score of 10.0 for rideability. Spectacular victories characterize his competition career to date: two-time finalist at the Bundeschampionat, participation in the World Championships for young dressage horses, a final score of 9.6 in a dressage horse test at the International Dressage Festival in Lingen and nine victories in the St. Georg and Inter I dressage tests. The desirability and quality of his foals were confirmed by top prices at the Vechta and Verden auctions.
The first offspring under saddle are clearly attracting attention: riding horse champions, participants in the Bundeschampionat, auction top horses as well as winners of the SLP, 30-day HLP and S-dressage.
Wolkentanz II has so far produced a total of 25 state premium mares, including a Brilliantring mare, as well as 12 licensed sons, three of which were awarded premium stallions.
He was the reserve champion of his performance test, and competed Prix St Georges. Wolkentanz II was the first stallion for German trainer / rider / breeder, Johannes Westendarp:
“My career with riding and working with the stallions started with Wolkentanz II. I bought him as a foal, three days old. I took him to the licensing, then we did the whole young horse program, the Bundeschampionate and rode him at the World Young Horse championship. Then we started the small tour, as a seven year old he won seven Prix St Georges with scores of over 70%. He had a lot of energy, and I think he could have gone on to Grand Prix but he injured himself, that was a shame. Now we have some mares from him that we are breeding with and they are very good.”
Wolkentanz II’s dam line also produced the full brothers, renowed Wolkentanz I, Chasseur I (Celle State Stud) and Chasseur II (Dillenburg State Stud), Weltblick (private stallion in Oldenburg) and the state premium mare Waikiki (by Werther), a prolific winner at mare shows. Wolkentanz II’s full-sister, Weiße Rose, won her age class at the Louis Wiegels Show in 1994. Another full sister, Wolkentänzerin when bred to Brentano II, produced the young Celle stallion, Ballettmeister – Reserve champion of his performance test at Adelheidsdorf in 2006. The dam sire, Ludendorff produced both dressage horses and jumpers.
